Since its release, these phones are very popular and loved by the general public. In this guide, we will talk about how can you track and locate lost Huawei P30, if its stolen or you have misplaced it somewhere.

The Huawei P30 comes in five colours whereas, the P30 Pro which is bigger and better in specs and performance comes in 7 colors. Mystic Blue, Misty Lavender, Amber Sunrise, Breaking Crystal, Black, Aurora and Pearl White. I found Amber Sunrise most attractive among all others. The P30 Pro features a huge 6.47-inch display screen which can display up to 16.7 million colors. It is an FHD 2340×1080 OLED type display. The phone is water, dust and splash resistant. This huge machine is running on Huawei’s own Kirin 980 Octa-core processor. There is also another processor that is dedicated to the Neural network processing. Currently, Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are running on Emui 9. Soon both will get EMUI 10 which is based on Android 10.

Both phones come with either 6 GB or 8 GB RAM. You can select between 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. P30 Pro has a 4200 mAh battery. Talking about cameras the P30 Pro has three cameras on its back. It’s the same phone that is famous for its 30x zoom capability.

So you can get it back before someone else gets his hands on it. Or before someone takes it away somewhere out of your reach and turns it off.

In this guide, we will use an Android-based service named Google find my device. It allows you to remotely access your phone and its location. This service works on all Android phones. All you need is your email ID and password that you used to set up your Huawei phone.

Google find my phone not only allows you to see the current location of your phone on Google Maps. It also lets you lock your phone and set a new password on it. You can also display a custom message on the display screen of your stolen P30 that “This phone is lost if found, contact on this number”. You can also use this service to make your phone ring at full volume if it is lost inside the office or home but it is on silent. If you are sure that your P30 or P30 pro is lost forever or stolen by someone. You can delete all the data present in it using Google Find my Device.

Steps on how to track and locate stolen P30 or Huawei P30 Pro:

  1. First of all, go to Google find my device or install its app on your iOS or Android Device.
  2. Once installed, log in using the same email that you used to set up your P30. The same email that you used to download apps from Play Store.
  3. Now that you are logged in. You will see the current location of your phone on Google Maps if it is connected to the internet and its location services are on. If your phone is off or not connected to the internet. You will see the last location where it was on and connected to the internet.
  4. Here, you can perform other function on your lost P30 phone. Just as in the screenshot below. Like if you can see it on the map but still can’t locate it. Maybe try to make it ring using the “Play Sound” option. Your phone will ring at its maximum volume.
