Nexus 6 Bootloop

Nexus 6 was manufactured by Motorola with a collaboration of Google. It was loved by many, but it failed to make an impression like Nexus 5. Probably because of its price. However, it is great in looks and size. Its display screen is huge that stretches to 5.9”, yet it is easy to hold it in one hand because of its design. It was released with the latest operating system of Android back then and it still gets the support from Google. With time the software starts to wear out. It seems that my phone is still stuck in a bootloop. I wasn’t sure about the second part in the model type and the detect device+build wasn’t working, so I selected the option that I think I was updating to. I use a nexus 6 and was updating to 7.0 Nougat when after the update, the phone became stuck in a bootloop while restarting. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Was the bootloader turned off first? Seems like a big step to skip or not explain. I’m unclear how that is done. Thanks for the info and help!
